It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert W. Hughes of Fairfield, New Jersey, born in Cedarville, New Jersey, who passed away on January 11, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Hughes and Mary Driggus Hughes; his wife Marie Bartley Hughes; his stepchildren, Connie Sorum Brennan and Charlie Sorum; and his siblings, Sara Boardley Saunders, Horace Hughes and Benjamin Hughes.

He is survived by: his stepson Scott Sorum; his siblings, Margaret Green Kuff, Mary Lou Evans and Howard Hughes; and his granddaughters, Stefanie Brennan Lane and Lindsay Ann Marie Phillips. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
