It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Sawicki of Forked River, New Jersey, who passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Richard departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Richard. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM at the Gerity & Chubenko Funeral Home (411 Amboy Ave, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James R. C. Church (145 Grove St, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095). An entombment will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at the Woodbridge Memorial Gardens (U. S. Rte 1 North, Iselin, NJ 08830).
