He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Panagiotis Venetis and Kalliope (Kourouglos); his wife Catherine Kananis; his son Peter; his daughter-in-law Ellen of New York; his brothers, John Venetis (Kalliope) of Union and Michael Venetis (Sophia) of Freehold; his grandson Elias Venetis; and his siblings, George Venetis of Athens, Greece and Anna Venetis. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Louis may be made to St. John The Theologian Cathedral, or alternatively, to a charity of the donor's choice.
