He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent A. Malatesta and Rosemary S. Malatesta. He is survived by: his wife Gail Sidiropoulos Malatesta; his daughter Ria Malatesta of Fort Lee, NJ; his siblings, Catherine (John Deptula) of Tolland, CT, Vincent Malatesta Jr. of Worcester, MA, Ellen (John Michalik) of Glastonbury, CT and Rosemary (Kevin Janicke) of Sutton, VT.; his brother-in-law Kostantinos Sidiropolous (Daphne) of Saddle River, NJ; and his aunt Anita Satriano of Bloomfield, CT.. He is also survived by His extended family also includes ten nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews.
More recently, Thom developed a very special group of close friends who supported him throughout his illnesses, frequently visiting him at home, especially during the Covid months.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society in Thomas's memory.
