Janice Hocking Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Hocking of Franklin, New Jersey, born in Paterson, New Jersey, who passed away on August 13, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Bosma and Grace Bosma (Pries); her husbands, Richard J. Vander Ploeg and Thomas Hocking; and her siblings, Allen Bosma and Isabel Russell.
She is survived by: her children, Kathrynne Shafer (David) of Mechanicsburg, PA, Cheryl Ryder (Darryl) of Telford, PA and Richard Vander Ploeg (Judith) of Wantage; her grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah Ryder, RJ and Patrick Vander Ploeg; and her brother John Bosma (Nancy) of Daytona Beach, FL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Proper social distancing measures will be followed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sussex Christian Reformed Church or the Sussex Christian School.
