He is survived by: his parent Catherine Burns (Balconis); his siblings, Robert R. Burns (Carol) of St. Port Lucie, Dennis M. Burns (Marjorie) of Oak Ridge and Kathleen M. Buchanan of Roanoke; his siblings' children, Robert E. Burns, Deanna Burns-Moore, Colin Buchanan and Megan Buchanan Good; and his great-nephew Anna Moore.
