He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his sons, Joseph Jr. (Rosemary) and James J.; his grandchildren, Jeannette Burgwald (Andrew) and Gage Kennedy; and his siblings, Peter Herrschaft, Barbara Selfridge, Elizabeth Louise DeStefano, Emily Franklin, Nancy Waters, Ronald Herrschaft, Richard Herrschaft and Joanne Gottlieb.
