He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Jean; his son David H. Jr. (Brenda) of Pitman; his stepchildren, John Stanton (Johanna) of Collingswood, Amy Mulford of Voorhees and Alisyn Stoffel of Haddonfield; his grandchildren, Kristy, Stephanie and Juliann Russell; his stepgranddaughters, Chelsea Stanton and Brooke Mulford; and his sister Dorothy Evans of Haddonfield.
