He was predeceased by : his wife Joan Fynes; his parents, William Fynes and Helen Fynes; his siblings, Bernadine and Chrisaidos (Andrew); and his sibling-in-law Msgr.

He is survived by : his significant other Brenda Kernan; his children, Meg Fynes, William Fynes (Celine), Gene Fynes (Teresa), Molly Boesch (Douglas) and Christopher Fynes (Cassandra); and his grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan Lofland, William, Madeline Fynes, Katherine Fynes, Caitrin, Sean, Liam Doyle, Amanda, Alston, Aidan Boesch, Teegan and Brody Fynes.
