He was predeceased by : his parents, Mary and Eduard; his daughter Cynthia; and his grandson Matthew (Juanita). He is survived by : his pet Theodore; his children, Patricia, Jennifer, Janett, Carlos and Michael; his siblings, Gisela and Ed; his niece Denise; his nephew Andre; and his grandchildren, Christian, Johnathan, Jewels, Caitlin and Carlee.
