He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Jack" Davis and Leanna Davis; his wife Helen Norma Davis; and his siblings, Burlia Davis, Susan Hill, Vernelle Fletcher (Willie) and Joe Davis (Gisele).
He is survived by: his former wife Juanita Morris of Salem, NJ.; his children, Vernell Iyinbor-Roberts (Robert), Lisa Cottman (William), Rena Davis, David Davis, Eugenia Davis, Maxine Davis, Gary Davis, James Davis, Danielle Davis, Daisy Davis, Ikea Davis, Dwane Davis (Sun), Phyllis A. Davis-Dennis, LaTisa Davis and Jesse W. Davis Jr.; and his sisters, Mattie Satterfield (James), Lois Davis, Freddie Tibbs and Ella Jones (Gregory). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
