It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Florit of Hawthorne, New Jersey, born in Passaic, New Jersey, who passed away on April 25, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter Hoogmoed and Evelyn Hoogmoed; her son Daniel; her pets, Parrot and Chihuahua; her husband Michael Florit of Prospect Park; her children, Thomas McGillis (Christina) of Sparrow Bush, NY, Dawn Marie Baker (Michael) of Hamburg and Danial McGillis (Jennifer) of Paramus; her grandchildren, TJ McGillis (Alfred University), James Baker, Abigail McGillis and Kayla McGillis; her siblings, Marie Tenkate (David) of North Haledon, Walter Hoogmoed of Riverdale, Richard Hoogmoed (Nancy) of Hawthorne and Arthur Hoogmoed (Patricia) of West Milford; her stepson Michael Florit (Kim); and her stepgrandchildren, Shane Florit and Christian Florit.
