He was predeceased by: his son Dennis Meara; and his stepson Dean. He is survived by: his children, Robert Meara (Nancy) of Sparta, Carol Larro (Arthur) of Hawthorne and Ellen D'Elia (Vito) of Hawthorne; his stepchildren, Kathleen, George, Leo and Kenneth; and his sisters, Irene Flynn (Eddie) and Grace Malone.
