He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen A. McLaughlin and Rose Romsloe (Leon); and his sisters, Carol Marino and Julienne Romsloe. He is survived by: his children, Joseph McLaughlin (Michelle) of Monroe, Heather Puglisi (Joseph) of Middletown, Caroline Leonard (Keith) of Middletown and Meghan McLaughlin of Old Bridge; his grandchildren, Dylan McLaughlin, Joseph Puglisi Jr., Aidan McLaughlin, Matthew Leonard, Vincent Puglisi, Michael Leonard, Christopher McLaughlin, Nicholas Leonard, Malaina Kuczynski and Addison Kuczynski; and his siblings, Maureen Shanahan (Steve), William McLaughlin (Theresa), Susan Neumann (Dennis) and Patrick McLaughlin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (3269 NJ-35, Hazlet, NJ 07730). A burial will be held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery (350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562).
