She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrij and Evadokia Olijnyk (Derkacz); her husband Bohdan Hnidj; her son George Hnidj; and her brother Paul Lenak.
She is survived by: her daughters, Irene Hnidj and Mary Ann Hnidj of Hillsborough; her daughter-in-law Patricia Kurdyla-Hnidj; her grandchildren, Kelly Primich (Michael Primich) and Jennifer Brady (Michael Brady); and her great grandchildren, Mia, Gretchen, Audrey and Susanna. She is also survived by niece, nephew, other close family members and dear friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in Maria's memory to St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hillsborough or to help the war effort in the Ukraine.
