He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph and Phyllis Tremitiedi; his wife Mary Tremitiedi; his former life partner Irene Tremitiedi; and his daughter Christine Tremitiedi.

He is survived by : his children, Mary Margaret Nielsen and Michael (Gioia Tremitiedi); his grandchildren, Holli Stanton, Nicholas (Hannah Tremitiedi) and Natalie Tremitiedi; and his great grandchildren, Lincoln Stanton, Dorian Cooper and Skyler Cooper. He is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews, and 5 great nieces and nephews.
