He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Theresa Filiberto Mezzasalma; his sons, John Douglas (Lynn) of Farmingdale, NJ, Michael (Sherri) of Langhorne, PA, Robert (Jean) of Freehold, NJ and Richard (Sandra) of Morganville, NJ; his sisters, Diane DeAngelis and Susan Buttermark; and his grandchildren, Maria Steiger, John D. Mezzasalma Jr., Anthony Mezzasalma, Tara Haarlander, Pamela Chaney, Michael Mezzasalma, Samantha Mezzasalma, Lisa Totin, Angela Van Genderen, Richard Mezzasalma, Elaina Mezzasalma and Sofia Mezzasalma.
