With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Backes of Jamesburg, New Jersey, born in Trenton, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 5, 2025 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her sons, John and Craig Backes. She is survived by: her daughter Patricia; her daughter-in-law Marina Backes of Missouri; her grandchildren, Erin Buchness (Thomas) and Kurt Backes (Mandy); and her great grandchildren, Sonja, Caroline, Jackson and Nicholas.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home (275 W Milton Ave, Rahway, NJ 07065). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church (220 E Blancke St, Linden, NJ 07036). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at the Fernwood Cemetery.
