He was predeceased by: his daughter Mildred (Cruz-Morales). He is survived by: his wife Petronila Morales; his children, Maribel, Luis, Justo, Michael, Elizabeth, William, Madeline, Joanna, Julio Jr. (Alvarado), Hilda (Garcia), Felix (Hicks), Roberto, Jose, Julie, Olga and Maritza; and his niece Lydia (Matias). He is also survived by 37 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
