We are sad to announce that on November 7, 2025, at the age of 93, Maria Ochoa (Jersey City, New Jersey) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Felicidad Vitan Reyes and Juan Reyes; and her siblings, Sofronio Reyes, Jose Reyes, Agapita Siders, Basilio V. Reyes, Juliarita Reyes and Juan Reyes Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Corazon Ochoa, Elizabeth Thumann (Henry), David Antonio Ochoa (Deanna), Pete Ochoa (Yukari) and Robert Reyes Ochoa (Sherry); her sister Jesusa Eguia; her granddaughter Anna (Jason); her children, Camille, Nathan, Christina (Mike), Daniel and Rose; and her great grandchildren, Emma, Allie and Lily. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Evergreen Funeral Home (159 Garrison Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Paul of the Cross RC Church (156 Hancock Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07307).
