Paul John Tagliabue Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Paul John Tagliabue of Jersey City, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Paul left this world on November 9, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Joseph and Mary Clotilde Tagliabue; and his sister-in-law Arlene Tagliabue. He is survived by: his wife Chandler; his children, Drew Tagliabue (Mark Jones) and Emily Rockefeller; his grandchildren, Sophia and John Rockefeller; his daughters, Päivi Orpana (Finland) and Perrine Sherwood (France); and his brothers, Charles, Robert and John (Paula Butturini).

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Joseph Gawler's Sons Funeral Home (5130 Wisconsin Ave, Washington, DC 20016). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Columba's Episcopal Church (4201 Albemarle St NW, Washington, DC 20016).

In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to Georgetown University and designated towards the Georgetown Scholars Program (GSP) for first-generation and low-income students, the LGBTQ Resource Center, or the Fund a Fellow for Parkinson's program at Georgetown University Medical Center.
