He is survived by: his wife Maria Baptista Fernandes; his sons, Joseph Fernandes (Janine) and Peter Fernandes; his grandson Zachary Fernandes; and his sister Beatrice Tavares.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation (3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07306). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul of the Cross Church (156 Hancock Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07307). A burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 12:41 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031).
