He is survived by : his wife Nelly; his children, Jay, Jane and Glenn; his children-in-law, Cynthia, John and Shae; his grandchildren, Jerome, John III, Isaiah, Aedan, Jude, Adrienne and Mahaliya; and his brother Mario Galapon. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation (3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07306). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Church (122 Ferry St, Jersey City, NJ 07307). An entombment was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Holy Name Cemetery (823 West Side Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306).
