It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruben Mercado of Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Juan Mercado and Inez Ortiz; his wife Micki; his daughters, Michelle Mercado and Christine Ortega (David); his grandchild Van Alucard Ortega; and his sister Alice Melendez.
In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to Ruben's favorite charity, Wounded Warriors.
