He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parent Kenilworth; his wife Betty; and his children, Edward J. Pryor, Jr. (Natalie), Diane Kratzer (Joe), Marilyn Frary, James Pryor (Maryann) and Mark Pryor. He was also cherished by grandchildren, 23 cherished great-grandchildren, and an adored great-great grandson.
