She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Parker and Hattie Sykes; her husband Andrew Claude Elam, Sr.; and her siblings, Carrie Lee Jones, Larrina Parker Jenkins, Benjamin Samuel Parker, Hester Melinda Parker, Johnnie Lou Parker Jenkins, Christine Jones Myrick and Charlie Parker, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Andrew C. Elam, Jr. (Sally), Fay V. Cooper (Shem, Sr.) and Sharlene D. Elam-Wade (Gratthan); her grandchildren, Christopher Cooper, Ashley Elam, Brandon Elam, Cody Cooper and Michael Alston; and her sister-in-law Alice Parker. She is also survived by other loving relatives and caring friends.
