She is survived by: her sister Beverly; her parent Mildred Shonka; her children, David M Karlen of Aiken, SC, Kathleen Donnelly of Fair Haven, NJ, Megan Karlen of North Adams, MA and Sara Lacombe of Atlantic Highlands, NJ.; and her grandchildren, Grace, Jack and Chloe.
