It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Salvatore G. Bonanno of Little Ferry, New Jersey, born in New York, New York, who passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Mildred Bonanno and Sam Bonanno; his sister Frances Dorner; and his brothers-in-law, Bobby Dorner, Tony Lobretto and Joe Vitulano.

He is survived by : his son Salvatore A. Bonanno (Alicia Jannicelli); his sisters, Joanne Lobretto-Vitulano, June Bauernschmidt and Theresa Mickendrow; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Bauernschmidt and John Mickendrow. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Rita Falcone Brautigam wrote a sympathy message

“So sorry to hear of Sal’s passing. For many years we were Thursday Night Regulars at his restaurant in Carlstadt. To this day we discuss the fabulous meals Sal prepared for us each week. He always spoke so highly of his sisters, their husbands and all of his nieces and nephews. I was lucky enough to meet some of you and knew why you were all so loved by him.
