He was predeceased by: his father Gopal Nair. He is survived by: his mother Shyamala Nair; his sister Sreeja; his brother-in-law Umesh Pillai; and his sibling's children, Sariga and Amal Pillai. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
