He was predeceased by: his parents, Gudettia and Frank; and his siblings, James, Regina and Frannie.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Bersterman; his children, Lindsay, Justin and Matthew; his grandchildren, Ulises Guzman Jr., Luciano Guzman, Julian Guzman and Logan Bersterman; and his sisters, Norma Lee Moreland, Ada Mae Daniels, Tharion Abtahi and Carol Vanorsdale.
