He was predeceased by: his wife Andrea; and his sister Cruz Melendez. He is survived by: his sister Carmen Iris Melendez; his children, Angel Melendez and Zoriada Cruz; and his stepdaughters, Sonia Soto and Marilyn Diaz. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
