He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Merle; and his brother Frank. He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann (Jonathan Wurst), Diane Merle and Anthony Merle; his daughter-in-law Beth Merle; his grandchildren, Adam Jacob Muller, Isabel Merle, Anthony Merle and Luke Merle; and his siblings, Pete, Joe, Mike (Julie), Eddie (Lorraine) and Bob Merle. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
