He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Mark Baten and Elease Baten (Murphy); his wife Annie Vernice Baten (Sally); his sister Margaret Crumblin; his grandson Emmanuel "Manny" Stewart; his son-in-law Michael Wilson (Tracy); and his brothers-in-law, Wilbur Crumblin (Margaret) and Robert.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tracy Wilson of Atlanta, GA, Carolyn Stewart of Seaford, DE, Joyce Cox (Warren) of Waldorf, MD and Kimberly Baten-Smith (Fitzroy) of Bryantown, MD; his grandchildren, Vanessa Robinson (Kali), Warren Joel-Curtis Cox, Kirsten Jackson (Joe), Marc Cox, Jada Dawson (Jalen), Courtney Stephenson (Akeem), Taylor Smith and Kennedy Smith; his great grandchildren, Jasiah, Jayden, Jayce Cox, Malia Beauvil and Skyler Jackson; his siblings, Stanley Baten (Joyce) and Willie Lee Trapp (James); and his siblings-in-law, Marion Sally and Charles "Fluggy" Sally. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
