He is survived by: his sons, Michael Sapio (Lisa) of Madison, John Sapio (Amy) of Rockaway and James Sapio, Jr.; his siblings, Tommy Sapio (Beth) of Austin, TX, Beverly Emory of Mendham and Linda Stone; his grandchildren, Michael, Tommy, Kaleigh, Brenna, Alexandra, Dominique, Natasha, Jonathan, Vincent and Angelica; his great grandchild Skylar; and his nieces, Michelle Harper and Denise Russo.
