We are sad to announce that on October 1, 2021, at the age of 93, Norma Backster of Madison, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Allen and Marion Van Allen; her husband Frank O. Backster; and her sister Ardelle V. Elliot. She is survived by: her nephew William Elliot of Bangor, Maine.

Normal also served on the Board of Trustees for the County College of Morris from 1976-1980, and earned 2 awards from the Freedom Foundation of Valley Forge for her work promoting US Savings Bonds.
