He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schastny and Lucille Schastny; and his cousins, Craig Teague and Donna Schastny. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen McKee-Schastny; his sons, Bryan C. Schastny (Kimberly), Jarred M. Schastny (Kristina) and Christian D. Schastny; his siblings, Anthony Schastny, Christopher Schastny (Kathy) and Lorraine Ludeking (Steve); and his grandchildren, Bryan J., Alexis, Justyn, Emma, Alyssa and William. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Oliverie Funeral Home - Jackson (125 S Cooks Bridge Rd, Jackson Township, NJ 08527). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Oliverie Funeral Home (125 S Cooks Bridge Rd, Jackson Township, NJ 08527). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church (316 Cassville Rd, Jackson Township, NJ 08527). A burial was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St Vladimir's Cemetery (316 Cassville Rd, Jackson Township, NJ 08527).
