He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl "Tank" and Marge Ryan (McGowan); his sister Pat Padgett; his son Paul D. Ryan; and his brother-in-law Skip Skinner.
He is survived by: his children, John Ryan (Anne), Diane Mulcrune (George) of Chicago, IL and Melissa Gabriel (Edgar) of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Luke, Mark, Hana, Cole, Noah, Annabel and Josef; his sister Pam Skinner of Laureldale; his nephew Tom Herold; and his niece Tracy Riggs (Tim).
