He was predeceased by : his brothers, Vincent and Dominick Abate. He is survived by : his children, Thomas Abate Jr. (Marci) and Nicole Harkins; his grandchildren, Tommy, Matthew, Mia, Joseph, Meghan, Caitlin and Gianna; his siblings, Elaine DePrince (Wayne), Len Abate and Wanda Abate; and his nephew Dominick Abate Jr..
