He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sharon Buis (Gorman); his children, Lisa Decato (Joseph Kopko) of Elmwood Park, Heather Decato of Vernon and Magie Trinidad (Mike) of Bethlehem, PA; his granddaughter Julie Warner; his brother Kenneth Buis (Janine); and his sibling's children, Meagan Kay and Kenneth Buis, Jr..
