He is survived by: his wife Janis Simmons; his children, David A. Simmons, Jr., Beth Dietrich (Gary), Holly Brenner (Gary), Steven Simmons (Alicia) and James Simmons; his siblings, Tenny, Carol Simmons, Robert, Karen Simmons, Carol Russello (Michael), Elise White (William) and June Kell (Robert); and his grandchildren, Gary, Jesse, Kaila, Trisha and Taylor.
