He was predeceased by : his son-in-law Mario Teixeira. He is survived by : his wife Maria Altina Oliveira; his children, Irene Teixeira, Jorge Oliveira (Kimberly) and Mariana Martins (Nelson); his sisters, Elisete Oliveira Vendas (Nelson) and Dilva Oliveira Vieira; his grandchildren, Sara Teixeira Jones (Daniel), Mario Teixeira, Catarina Teixeira Slocum (James), Ava, Ian, Cruz Oliveira, Isabella and Daniel Martins; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Jones, Alexandria and Penelope Slocum. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
