He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James O'Reilly and Josephine O'Reilly of County Cavan; his sister Mary Ellen (Joseph P. Vesey Sr.); his sibling's children, Joseph P. Jr., Michael J. Vesey and Maureen E. Kelly; and his husband Newark Police Officer John. He was also cherished by 4 great nieces and nephews, and his dear friends.

In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society or the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth, Convent Station N.J., would be appreciated.
