Bowen of Newport, New Jersey, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 20, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, George Lacotte and Elizabeth Rikert Lacotte; her spouse Tyrus R. Bowen, Sr.; her siblings, George Lacotte, Joseph Lacotte and Elizabeth Griner; her granddaughter Kayla Ayars; and her great great grandchild Keraline.

She is survived by : her sons, Tyrus R. Bowen, Jr. (Bertica) and Terry W. Bowen (Jane) of Newport. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
