He was predeceased by: his wife Leona V. Salzmann (Olsson); his daughter Linda Salzmann; his parents, Henry F. and Viola Salzmann Goddard (Rau); his brother George Salzmann; and also, Elizabeth Lott, Gertrude Allen and Veronica Salzmann.
He is survived by: his daughter Joan Slaght of Georgia; his sister Violet Murphy of Memphis, TN.; his great grandchildren, Hendrik Slaght and Anwyn Slaght; and his nephew Donald Salzmann (Kathy).
