Sharp of Roselle, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey, whose life came to an end on June 14, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hannan and Agnes Sharp (Demry); his wife Edna; and his siblings, Forest, Robert, Adrian, Thomas, Franklin, Betty, Estelle, Agnes and Nancy.
He is survived by: his children, Maureen Canonico (William), Ellen Callahan (Matthew), Margaret'Peggy'Walton (James) and Paul Sharp (Angela); his grandchildren, Alanna Hansen, Michael Canonico (James Maher), Rachel Methner (David), Maura Canonico (Devin Healey), Jamie Callahan (Jonas Michael Johnson), Patrick Callahan (Kate), Meghan Holler (Andrew), Conor Walton (Christina Bruce), Emma Bronowicki (Jas), Jacob and Peter Sharp; his great grandchildren, Brenden, Madison Hansen, Josephine, Ella Methner, Mae, Monroe Johnson, Maya, Mallory Holler and Quinn Callahan; and his godchildren, Mary Sharp Ross and Jeffery Bonner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home (1360 Hamilton St, Somerset, NJ 08873). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Matthias Church (168 John F Kennedy Blvd, Somerset, NJ 08873). A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
