He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Helen Bethas (Brennan) and Peter Bethas; his wife Diane (Roberts); his children, Stephen Bethas (Kimberly), James Bethas (Michelle), Patrick Bethas, Kimberly Fitzsimmons (Dale) of Hanover, PA, Michelle Bethas-Zulker (Walter Sapsai) and Tracey Bethas-Austin of Somers Point, NJ.; his stepchildren, David Wagner of Scullville, NJ, Karen McLaughlin (Robert) of Dunedin, FL, Heidi Taper and Anita Kiefer of Ocean City, NJ; and his sisters, Dorothy Noel (Pat) and Ellen Zartman (Gordon). He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
