He is survived by: his children, Richard Askenase (Juliet) of North Reading, Massachusetts, Dr. Alan Askenase (Alicia) of Moorestown and Bonnie Goshin (Mark) of West Orange; his grandchildren, Michael Askenase, Joel Askenase, David Askenase (Brandi), Julia Askenase and Sydnie Goshin; and his great grandchildren, Mason Askenase and Cole Askenase.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Melvin's memory may be made to the Veterans Administration.
