He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dahms and Hermeana Dahms; his daughter Susan Shields; and his brother Herbert Dahms. He is survived by: his wife Eddie Dahms of Brick; his children, Gary Dahms (Lorraine) of Allenwood, Brian Dahms of Sarasota, FL and Karen Dahms (Brian Beckert) of Allentown; his brother Brian Dahms (Maureen) of Bradenton, FL.; and his grandchildren, Kevin, Courtney, Ryan, Kelly, Tyler, Brody, Addie and Van.
