He was predeceased by: his wife Maggie; and his son Thomas. He is survived by: his daughter Marie Faiella of Staten Island, NY; his grandchildren, Stephanie Ottiano (Chris), Frank Faiella (Lynn), Michele Reilly (Bryan) and Thomas Messina (Jenny); and his sister-in-law Bernadette Messina. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
