He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. and Amelia; and his brother Lewis Petta. He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his child Joseph E. Petta III; his wife Bonnie Romanowski; his granddaughter Daisy Petta; his sister Anita Rafferty; and also Mary Kate Romanowski (Robert). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, brother in laws, and sister in laws.
